REDES.COM

REDES.COM is an international scientific journal published by University of Brasília’s Multimedia and Internet Center and the Interdisciplinary Group on Communication, Politics and Social Change (COMPOLITICAS) of the Junta de Andalucía, created to provide new skills and analytical tools for the academic community and communication professionals, in order to study and transform information system, guided by philosophical and cultural principles that contribute to the socialization of the media, technologies and information and communication public processes.

The digital edition of the Journal on Studies for Social Development of Communication aims to contribute semiannually to the development of a productive cultural dialogue and idea exchange idea exchange that allows building a new academic culture based on the “language of links”, articulating critical Latin-American thinking in supranational reference spaces such as Latin Union for the Political Economy of Information, Communication and Culture (ULEPICC), REDECOM or CLASCO.

The bet on a progressive and emancipatory vision of communication and intellectual engagement of theory with the needs of social production of communication as a democratic and constructive cooperation constitute REDES.COM’s hallmarks and define its philosophy and editorial stance.
